TADIKA MIMOS GO GREEN SPORTS DAY

Once  again Uluhati is priviledged to play hosts to a group of school children, pre-schoollers to be exact,, together with their parents and siblings for a day close to nature away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There were 200 of them we were told. The actual occasion was their annual sports carnival and this time the Principal thought they should do something different. So apart from the usual games and matches there were also pony rides for the children and horse rides for the parents, plus a dip in the pool as well. Many parents also used the occasion to have their family picnics as well. Making good use of the many shady tree,s mats were laid out and the picnic boxes spread out. So I was not quite sure what to make out of it. Was is a sports day or a picnic day. Whatever it was it seemed great fun as the games went on as planned whilst the family watched and cheered from their picnic spots. Very relaxed fun. Very ingenious, I must say. WELL DONE, the organizers.

Thank you Tadika Mimos.

ISLAND & PENINSULA FAMILY DAY - 17 MAY 2015

After weeks of planning 35 staff from Island & Peninsula Berhad made their way to Uluhati for day of fun and relaxation on 17 May 2015.Notwithstanding the amount of sweat and the occasional cramps the staff of I&P certainly are a sporting crowd.

The day began with a short workout to loosen stiff muscles following which was a series of games and telematches organized by Uluhati ending shortly before lunch. After a serving of traditional kampong lunch and prayer break, they continued with a series of indoor games. By 4.00 they were ready for their BBQ  which stretched into a karaoke session into early evening. Tired and exhausted but certainly unwound, they made their way back to the city lights by 7.00 p.m.

TIRED BUT FUN FILLED DAY
Difficult to say which was the highlight. To goat wrangling was certainly hilarious, but so too the tug-of-war. They also had to compete on ketupat weaving.

Thank you I&P for gracing Uluhati. Salam and hope to see you again. Call us us for the fruit party in a few weeks time.
